- Aqualand
Aqualand Algarve is 10 minutes drive from Casa Alegre, ex-The Big One, is located in the central area of the Algarve, near the town of Alcantarilha (Armação de Pera), 15 Km from Albufeira. The park has water attractions for all tastes, some totally unique in the country, such as the Banzai, which give moments of pure adrenaline,joy, fun, adventure and relaxation.
- Armação de Pera
Armação de Pera is circa 15 minutes drive from Casa Alegre, and Boasts one of the finest longest golden sandy beaches in the Algarve. On the eastern side of the town are a number of fish and seafood restaurants that serve fresh fish.
- Fiesta Sand Sculture Festival at Pera
The Fiesta Sand sculture is just 10 minutes drive from Cada Alegre and Hollywood is the theme for this year. This is a large international sand sculpture festival that has been held in Pêra near Algoz every summer since 2003. It is considered to be the largest sand sculture festival in the world. - Lagos
Lagos is circa 35 minutes drive from Casa Alegre. Lagos is stunning town with many architectural signs of its ancient heritage, even a building dating originally back to around 1445. The walls of the town in the most part remain standing although sections were restored. You can also see the famous 17th Century "gold" church of Santo António. Lagos also has lovely beaches and is a good location to hire a fishermans boat and take a guided tour of the local caves.
- Praia da Senhora da Rocha Beach
Praia da Senhora Da Rocha beach is 15 minutes drive from Casa Alegre and a small and charming beach with golden sands.
- Praia de Armação de Pêra Beach
Praia de Armação de Pêra Beach is located just 15 minutes drive from Casa Alegre. The western end of Armação de Pêra Beach is marked by the golden limestone cliffs that are a typical feature of the Algarves western region. To the east, however, is the beginning of a large sandy bay, as well as the town of Armação de Pêra, which provides with gardens and many sunny outdoor cafés and restaurants. To the east of the Armação de Pêra beach are brightly-coloured fishing boats typical of the Algarve.
- Silves
Silves is just 10 minutes drive from Casa Alegre and was once the capital of the whole district and was still referred to in the beginning of the 19th Century as the Kingdom of the Algarve. Silves is a very historic town and the hill at Silves can be traced back to existing some 1.000 BC. Evidence shows that it was already a place in Roman times but it really became an important town during its occupation in the early 11th Century by the Moors.
- Slide and Splash Waterslide Park
The Entertainment Water Park Slide & Splash is situated in Lagoa 20 minutes drive from Casa Alegre and currently occupies an area of 16,000 acres and is considered the biggest of its kind in the country and also one of the biggest and best in Europa.
The Park specially aims at featuring a full-day of fun for visitors, always ensuring safety, hygiene and comfort, according to the regulations of Decree Nº 5/97, of 31 March, on the activity of Water Parks
- Zoomarine
Zoomarine is a marine park offering dolphin, sealion, birds of prey shows, combined with waterslides, swimming pools and fairground rides. This is a wonderful family day out.
